Machu Picchu one of the 7 wonders of the world opens its doors to hear this famous citadel nestled in the Andes of Peru. This time takes us on a path where we can observe flora and fauna combining adventure activities, Machu Picchu is a citadel built on top of the mountains during the heyday of the empire, visit the different attractions that keeps it as the Intiwatana, Temple sun and agricultural areas.
Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco – Santa Maria ( bicycles )
Pick up from your hotel between 7:00 to 7:30 in the morning, towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas pass through villages like Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo on the way we observe a large number of natural attractions, arrive around noon to Abra Malaga is situated at an altitude of 4316 m where bikes start descending in the direction of the forest for about 3 hours, passing through small villages, orchards and rivers, reaching Huaman Marca (small archaeological site) we will a little break to keep continuing our route for about 2 hours to the town of Santa Maria where we will rest tonight.
Day 2 Santa Maria – Santa Teresa
Early in the morning we will have our breakfast and then begin our trek for about 2 hours to reach the highest point, where we see the beautiful landscape as well as varieties of birds, we will have a short break to continue our walk.
Halfway through our journey we will have a restful lunch in the village of Kellomayo, we will continue our route by streams waterfalls and fruit plantations. On our way we will find the hot springs of Santa Teresa where if you want you can take a relaxing bath and then continue our walk for 45 minutes until you reach Santa Teresa where we spend our second nightDay 3 Santa Teresa – Machu Picchu village
Morning after breakfast, take an easy access route that will lead to what amounts to the hydroelectric where we will have our lunch, we continue our route to the town of Aguas Calientes where we spend the third night in a hostel.
Day 4 Machu Picchu – Cusco ( visit to the citadel Machu Picchu )
Early in the morning we will go to Machu Picchu to see the sunrise, then make our tour. The Machu Picchu guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours following this guidance will have a free time to explore the Citadel on our own.
In Machu Picchu we can go all the sectors that this city has, like agriculture, barns full of platforms and the Inca also visit the religious sector and its various temples dedicated to their most important deities, and the urban sector, with countless venues Incas.
After an extensive tour of the city of Machu Picchu, return to Aguas Calientes where we will have lunch respectively and by evening board the train back to Cusco
