Visit the Inca capital of Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu citadel the enigmatic 4D/3N

The first day we wait at the airport in Cusco to welcome and care for, then we will go to the hotel for a short break in the afternoon as we begin the acclimatization with a small half-day tour within the city and its surroundings. After the tour we headed back to her hotel where she spent the night.
The second day discover with us the fascinating Inca Sacred Valley, visiting the most impressive buildings and temples of the Inca empire. Marvel at the religious temple of Pisac, ingeniously built on the slopes of a hill, with endless terraces made ​​by Mr. Incas. Visit the modern town of Pisac, with its mysterious craft market, full of magic and color. Visit with us the beautiful village of Ollantaytambo, with its huge terraces and Inca temples. Take a walk and enjoy the great Inca architecture, visit the restroom Ñusta and be enthralled by the impressive face of the god Viracocha in the mountain village of Ollantaytambo.
The third day, early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel and go towards the train station which will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes, then take a bus to take us to the mountaintop where is located the big city Inca of Machu Picchu. After a two-hour guided tour, we descend back towards the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have for lunch. After a short break and walk around the area, we headed back to the train station where we catch the train back to Cusco where she spent the night at your hotel.
The fourth day after breakfast, we drive to the airport from the city to their respective boarding.

Itinerary

Day 1 Cusco –  City Tour attractions of the city

Upon your arrival in Cusco, the Lonely Travel staff will welcome you at the airport, and will assist you with whatever you might need. Then, we will help you take your luggage to our tourist bus, to transfer you to your hotel, and on the way, our transfer personnel will give you the necessary information, so that you might have a good stay in the Incas´ ancient capital city.
In the afternoon, we´ll go on the City Tour, visiting Cusco´s Cathedral, in which we´ll have the chance to appreciate numerous canvases from Cusco´s School of Art, as well as the imposing Renaissance style architecture. Then, we´ll go to the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) which was the most important place of worship in the Incan State (Tahuantinsuyu), and you will be able to see in its walls the most perfect expression of the Incan Imperial style architecture.
In the sequence, we´ll go on to the Archaeological Complex of Saqsayhuaman which will be a delight for your eyes, with its impressive architectural structure erected with huge cut stone blocks, set in place with great precision. Then, we´ll get to the Archaeological Compound of Qenqo which was an astronomical and ceremonial center, excavated into a great limestone rock. Afterwards, we´ll visit Puca Pucara which was an Incan watch post, and to conclude this tour, we´ll get to know Tambomachay which was one of the Inca´s favorite places, where the cult to water was performed. Finally, we´ll return to the city of Cusco, to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2 Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas – Cusco

Early in the morning, we´ll pick you up at your hotel, to start our tour around the Sacred Valley of the Incas, via the direct route which will take us to Pisaq´s Archaeological Complex, where we´ll have a chance to admire the fabulous Incan constructions and their innumerable agricultural benched terraces.
Then, we´ll stop in Urubamba, to share a buffet lunch, after which we´ll head towards the Archaeological Complex of Ollantaytambo that fulfilled administrative, religious and military functions, as it was situated in a strategic spot, in the Incas´ Sacred Valley.
Already by the end of the afternoon, we´ll travel to Chinchero, a beautiful village, also called Land of the Rainbow, where we´ll appreciate typical Colonial buildings and ancient Incan constructions. To conclude our excursion, we´ll return to the city of Cusco for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 3 Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Very early and depending on the train´s schedule, we´ll pick you up at your hotel, to go to the railway station situated in the locality of Poroy, and board the train that will take us on a scenic trip by the banks of the Urubamba River, while we´ll be observing the changing landscape, between the Andean mountains and the jungle´s edge region, all the way to the village of Aguas Calientes.
Upon our arrival, we´ll board the bus that will take us to the Incan City of Machu Picchu, to go on its guided visit during about 2 hours, and afterwards, you will have some free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own and take as many pictures as you want.
At the time indicated by our guide, we´ll go back down to the village of Aguas Calientes to have lunch, and in the afternoon, we´ll board the train bound to the city of Cusco, where you will choose the restaurant in which you wish to have dinner and the hotel, to spend the night.

Día 4 Cusco – Farewell

Early in the morning and after breakfast at the hotel, we´ll go to the city´s airport and will help you get on board the flight to your next destination.
